²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵOffice of Research Compliance and Security will provide information focusing on export control laws and recent updates. This session is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the regulations governing the export of goods, technology and information from the U.S. 

Key topics include:

  • Overview of export control laws: Understand the fundamental principles of export controls, including the regulations enforced by the departments of Commerce, State and Treasury.
  • Recent updates and new compliance clauses: Learn about the latest amendments to export control laws, including new clauses that have been incorporated to ensure compliance with evolving international standards.
  • Training and refresher for compliance: This session will serve as both an introduction to those new to export controls and a valuable refresher for seasoned professionals. Attendees will gain insights into practical strategies for identifying export-controlled items and navigating compliance challenges effectively.  

This presentation is ideal for researchers, faculty, administrators and staff involved in international collaborations, technology transfers or the export of goods and services. This session will equip the attendee with the knowledge needed to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. It should noted that this training will count toward refresher training only should the attendee require it.
