The 2024 Three Minute Thesis competition at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ will be heldÌýin Foster Ballroom U on Colvard Student Union's second floor. Morning and afternoon sessions will take place Nov. 13, and the final round will take place Nov. 14. Winners will receive cash prizes. All sessions are open to the public and areÌýa great opportunity to learn about ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵresearch in a TED-talk style presentation.Ìý

The 3MT is a research competition in which graduate students present their research work to a panel of judgesÌýin less than three minutes.ÌýThe goal of the 3MT is for students to learn essential verbal communication skills that will help them provide a successful “sales pitch." 3MT is not an exercise in trivializing or "dumbing-down" research. It challenges students to consolidate their ideas and crystalize their research discoveries.Ìý
