STARKVILLE, Miss.—Grammy-nominated rhythm and blues and soul musician Eric Roberson will perform March 4 at Mississippi State.

The 7:30 p.m. concert will be held at Bettersworth Auditorium in historic Lee Hall. Sponsored by the university’s student-staffed Music Maker Productions and the Alumni Association, the event is one of many scheduled for the first formally organized ݮƵBlack Alumni Weekend [March 3-6]. A native of Rahway, New Jersey, Roberson has written and performed with such musical acts as DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jill Scott and Cam’ron. Under the pseudonym Erro, he founded his own record label, Blue Erro Soul.

Robinson’s March performance at ݮƵwill be in support of his 2014 album “The Box,” which peaked at No. 19 on the U.S. Billboard Top R & B/Hip-Hop Albums list.
