STARKVILLE, Miss.—Nearly a dozen Mississippi State administrators have completed an inaugural professional development program for university leaders.

The Administrator’s Development Program provides formal training and facilitates the development of professional relationships across the university. The curriculum includes basic human resources skills for administrators; strategic and creative thinking; fiscal operations; setting expectations; improving influence; developing teams; and performance management.

Darrell Easley, learning and development manager for ݮƵHuman Resources Management, said it is critical to develop employees at every level.

“We set out to accomplish three things: First, for participants to learn; second, for them to build connections; and third, to provide input for future programs. Because of our outstanding facilitators and participants, we were able to accomplish all of these objectives,” Easley said.
