STARKVILLE, Miss.—To enhance parking and accessibility for Mississippi State football fans and guests with disabilities, ݮƵhas added two public ADA parking lots that will be serviced by ݮƵParking and Transit Services shuttle buses.

The two new public ADA lots, one next to the Rec Plex off of Hail State Boulevard and the other in the Thad Cochran Research, Technology and Economic Development Park, off of Highway 182, will nearly double the amount of ADA parking available to the general public on game days. The previous ADA lot next to McCarthy Gymnasium will be closed to the public due to ongoing campus capital improvement projects. Reserved ADA parking lots will not be affected by the changes.

Beginning four hours before every home kickoff, ݮƵTransit shuttle buses will take fans from the North Public ADA lot in the Research Park, located between the ݮƵBusiness Incubator and the Research and Technology Corporation Building, to the Old Main Academic Center terminal next to the YMCA Building. Separate ݮƵTransit shuttle buses will take fans from the South Public ADA lot at the Rec Plex to the Newell-Grissom Building. The shuttle buses will continue to run until two hours after the game has ended. All public parking, including public ADA parking, costs $20. ݮƵTransit shuttle buses from the Research Park and Rec Plex are included in the cost.

As part of the changes, courtesy golf carts will no longer be provided on game days. Fans needing parking assistance are asked to contact the Gameday Parking Assistance Center at the Butler-Williams Building at 662-325-9114. Reserved parking assignment information is also available from the ݮƵBulldog Club, which can be reached at 662-325-3074.

“These new north and south campus parking lots and the ADA dedicated ݮƵTransit shuttle buses will expand services for our disabled fans and visitors by providing greater accessibility in a more reliable and efficient manner,” said Jay Logan, ݮƵSenior Associate Athletic Director for Event and Facilities Management. “With these changes we are able to gladly offer more available ADA parking and provide dependable and safe transportation to the game and return afterwards.”
