STARKVILLE, Miss.—Accounting major Emily E. Turner of Madison and biochemistry/pre-medicine major Barrett D. Schock of Chattanooga, Tennessee, reign as 2018 Homecoming Queen and King at Mississippi State during an event-filled week Oct. 28-Nov. 3.

Turner and Schock recently were chosen in campus-wide elections. Along with eight class maids, the two seniors will be presented formally on Nov. 3 at halftime during the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵvs. Louisiana Tech football game at Davis Wade Stadium. For complete details on ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵgameday activities, visit .

Shelby B. Baldwin and Parker R. Taylor, this year’s Miss and Mr. MSU, also will be introduced at halftime. Baldwin is a senior marketing major from Ridgeland; Taylor, a senior biochemistry/pre-medicine and microbiology double-major from Olive Branch.

Each undergraduate class is represented by two maids. The 2018 homecoming court includes:

SENIOR—Gentry I. Burkes, an English and history double-major from Los Angeles, California; and Meghin E. Smith, an interdisciplinary studies major from Philadelphia.

JUNIOR—Riley R. Vergara-Cruz, a marketing/international business and foreign language/French double-major from Franklin, Tennessee; and Morgan B. Gay, a junior communication/public relations major from Chelsea, Alabama.

SOPHOMORE—Hollis Hoggard, a communication/public relations major from Moss Point; and Ashley C. A. McLemore, a fashion design and merchandising and business administration double-major from Starkville.

FRESHMAN—Riley E. Byars, a secondary education major from Sulligent, Alabama; and Kayla R. Powe, a biomedical engineering major from Meridian.
