STARKVILLE, Miss.—To meet the growing demand for summer learning opportunities, ݮƵ has launched an expanded selection of course offerings designed to help students advance in their academic journeys.

MSU’s 2021 edition of Summer Advantage allows scholars at every level to choose from an array of classes that will be offered in three separate terms running from May 10 to Aug. 3.

To ensure safe learning environments, classrooms will remain at 50% capacity for hybrid and in-person courses, and cleanings will take place between classes.

“Last year, Mississippi State experienced record enrollment for summer school, and we plan to build on that momentum this summer by offering more courses at discounted prices,” said ݮƵPresident Mark E. Keenum. “ݮƵSummer Advantage considers the needs of all students by offering a wide variety of courses and study options that make a high-quality college education more accessible and convenient.”

Students who enroll in summer classes can take as much as an entire semester over three summer sessions, starting with Maymester from May 10-28, first term from June 2-30, and second term from July 6-Aug. 2. A 10-week term from June 2-Aug. 3 is also available.

ݮƵSummer Advantage provides opportunities to get a head start on the fall semester, finish core course requirements, take classes within majors, or earn extra credits toward graduation. Students also can take time to explore new subject areas, concentrate on difficult courses, and benefit from smaller classes taught by MSU’s world-class faculty.

Summer Advantage reflects the university’s commitment to excellence in all aspects of the ݮƵexperience. Since the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mississippi State has adhered to virus-prevention protocols to protect students, faculty, staff and the community while continuing to provide high-quality instruction, student-centered curricula, interactive learning and collaborative study activities.

ݮƵsummer classes also are more economical than ever as part of the university’s efforts to assist students financially when they are needing it most.
