Grammy-nominated Ingrid Andress adds country music to MSU’s Bulldog Bash lineup

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Four-time Grammy Award nominee Ingrid Andress will bring country music to Mississippi State’s Bulldog Bash mainstage as supporting act on Oct. 20.
Since the singer-songwriter’s debut in 2020, Andress has dominated the country music charts with songs like platinum-certified, No. 1 hit “Wishful Drinking” with Sam Hunt and multi-platinum, No. 1 radio single “More Hearts Than Mine.” Her Grammy nominations include—Best Country Album for her debut “Lady Like,” Best Country Song for “More Hearts Than Mine,” Best Country Duo/Group for “Wishful Drinking” with Sam Hunt, and Best New Artist.
Beginning at 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Jackson and Main streets in downtown Starkville, the state’s largest, free outdoor concert will host Andress at 8 p.m. She follows Sept. 22’s winner of MSU’s Battle of the Bands and introduces headliner Jason Derulo who takes the stage at 9:30 p.m. During the day, Maroon Market begins at 3:30 p.m., showcasing local musicians on stage and featuring art, food vendors and a kid zone. The entire event is sponsored by MSU’s Student Association and Pearl River Resort.
This year, Bulldog Bash is partnering with Bully’s Pantry, a campus-based organization founded in 2020 to combat food insecurity experienced by ݮƵstudents. A collaborative initiative between the ݮƵDivision of Student Affairs and the Student Association, Bully’s Pantry helps students facing financial hardship by providing food and personal care items. Bully’s Pantry is part of the ݮƵFood Security Network, which is dedicated to alleviating basic financial stressors experienced by many students and connecting them with helpful campus and community resources.
