William Winter Panel
A documentary viewing about Gov. William Winter and a subsequent panel discussion were part of a special program at Mitchell Memorial Library Tuesday to celebrate Winter, regarded as one of the most accomplished governors in Mississippi history. Titled "The Toughest Job - William Winter's Mississippi," the documentary chronicles the life and career of Mississippi's 57th governor and his fight to pass the 1982 Education Reform Bill, which is considered his signature public policy achievement. Winter (standing) greets his fellow panelists Ronnie Agnew, David Crews, John Marszalek and Andy Mullins.
