²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ 2021 Holiday Message
Transcript: During this special time of year, I feel very fortunate to be serving this outstanding institution of higher learning. In spite of the many challenges we have faced, ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ is thriving. We have set new records in enrollment, research, and fundraising, and we believe these strong trends will continue. We've also been busy with new construction projects and major renovations. We've celebrated the opening of new academic buildings and labs, initiated the construction of new roadways and parking lots, and made significant investments in infrastructure that will support campus growth for decades to come. And more construction is on the way! We've seen incredible success in athletics with the pinnacle being our first national championship in college baseball. Our fans wrapped Omaha in maroon and white and what a thrill it was to be there to see our players and coaches win the College World Series. At Mississippi State, we're focused on building on the many successes we've seen as we look forward to the start of a new and exciting year. In order to do so, we've developed a new strategic plan for our future that I'm confident will put us in an even stronger position to leverage our tremendous momentum as we continue to serve our students, our great state, the nation, and the world. So as we begin this joyous holiday season, on behalf of my wife, Rhonda, and our four children, Katie, Mary Phillips, Rett, and Torie, we wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and joyous new year. May God bless you all and hail dear ole state!
